Tavern Talk is a cozy visual novel about running a tavern in a D&D-inspired fantasy world! Gather rumors, serve magical drinks, and meet adventurers on a life-changing quest.
You Walk into A Tavern…
…and get to work! You are the owner of the Wayfarer’s Inn, a popular watering hole in the fantasy land of Asteria.
But you’re no ordinary barkeep. Be it a potion of seething fury or prancing swords, the drinks you serve can change your customer’s destiny forever. You can also turn the rumours you hear at work into intrepid quests for your patrons!
Befriend a colourful cast of adventurers as they brag about their latest triumph – or commiserate an utter failure. Whether it’s relaxation or a fresh thrill, you’re on hand to give each patron what they need.
Beyond the walls of this cosy tavern, a world-threatening danger is brewing. Every quest, rumour and conversation is intertwined with the ultimate fate of the land.

Find Your Family
The Wayfarer's Inn is a safe haven to a colourful cast of characters inspired by TTRPGs. Get to know their unique personalities, and help them find a place that feels like home.
Brew Up A Storm
Serve an ever-growing menu of magical drinks to your patrons, but choose carefully, as your choice will alter their fates.
Whip Up Some Quests
Gather rumours from the tavern-goers and use them to create quests for your adventurous guests.
Connect the Dots
Piece together the fragments in your little study and uncover the secrets of an ancient evil threatening the land.
Cherish the Space
As adventurers return from their mighty quests, they’ll bring back trinkets you can use to decorate your tavern. Your choices shape the snug interior of the Wayfarer’s Inn!

Tavern Talk is still in development. We have received funding from the FFF Bavaria and the budgetary funds of the Free State of Bavaria for prototype development. We receive funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action for production.

short and sweet at the moment, art is beautiful and smooth, the drink crafting is satisfying and not hard to understand with bit of thinking, story is decent so far and i am definitely looking forward to see in more in the future. i'le admit even as demo doesn't show much and majority focused on the visual novel aspect, which can be a blessing or a curse depending what dev going for and what the player is also looking for. all that being said, genuinely well done, please keep up the great work! can tell this will be a wonderful and unique experience already and can feel the passion. only slight issue i noticed (and apologies for no screencap im lazy) the one part gives 2 recipes to choose and couldn't see what one was since half was off screen. possibly something i missed to view it but also didn't hinder to much, so again well done!

I only played up to the first act in my video (I do not want to spoil it for people, they need to support the dev's and get the game themselves)

Amazing, i can't wait to see how this game will develop, the settings are amazing, the idea behind it is really damn well made. I'll be following you from today forth Gentle Troll :D
Since it's in alpha stage, I hope that we may get the opportunity to experiment with the drinks, for example creating a good drink by mistake (as in an actual drink and then adding it to the book) or even a wrong one which may influence the adventurers in any way. Hell I'd even add a personality change while under the influence of the magic potions ,which can bring comic interactions or even results in quests, for an instance how in the tutorial when the bartender talked with Fable to add some "spice" in her life, why not add something that can influence their behaviour. This is just an idea, hope the development will be a success! had a lot of fun and I am considering buying the game once it comes out!

For some reason the game seem to freeze after the game closing sequence. after a while it did work but man... i hope you find a way to optimize it on release. Not really sure if it will help but here's a detailed information of my device:
Os: win 10
CPU: AMD A9-9420 ~3.0Ghz
RAM: 8Gb.

Loving this game so far! unfortunately i keep getting stuck when Caerlin appears, I can't seem to pick a choice when it offers team werewolf or vampire. nor can i save or quit or anything of the like. Regardless keep up the great work!

The demo is free but the final game will cost something. Since there is a whole team behind the game and a lot of work, we can't offer it for free. But it will be a fair price for a 10h + long game and a whole lot of story in it 💜
